MEISSEN HOME Fabrics

From Graphic Minimalism To Royal Opulence

Meissen 2015
The Berlin design studio presents an enormous variety of shapes with their textile creations for MEISSEN HOME. Whether as furnishing material or as upholstery fabrics, the classy designs create unique highlights in every interior. The selection of colours is inspired by porcelain painting and finishing.

Fire Tail
The tail of a baroque dragon was the model for the opulent pattern. The airy jacquard weaving technique in elegant colours adds exceptional depth and brilliance. The design “Fire Tail” by Markus Hilzinger and Isabella Hamann received the Deco Home Best Fabrics Award 2015.

Royal Place
The design by FINE ROOMS is based on a mosaic display floor in the Albrechtsburg, the first production facility of the porcelain manufactory MEISSEN®. A tender contour caressing the meander-shaped pattern creates a design of highest graphic modernity. The designers created a complementary colourful outdoor fabric in jacquard waving technique
Chinese Stripes
The inspiration for the CHINESE STRIPES fabric came from a 17th century oriental flower motive by the porcelain manufactory. The new arrangement renders a unique and modern stripe design. The Chinese Garden fabric in jacquard waving technique is a complementary outdoor version of the existing Chinese Stripes fabric designed for indoor use. The Royal Garden fabric in jacquard waving technique is a complementary outdoor version of the existing Royal Palace fabric designed for indoor use. The design is based on a geometrical mosaic display floor in the Albrechtsburg, the first production facility of the porcelain manufactory MEISSEN®. A tender contour caressing the meander-shaped pattern creates a design of highest graphic modernity.
Wild Blossom
The precise flower paintings on the renowned Börner Vases served as an inspiration for the printed fabric Wild Blossom made of finest silk. The décor by Emil Paul Börner, a former painter and art director of the MEISSEN® porcelain manufactory , has been emulated in a modern manner and arranged into a new pattern.

Noble Touch
The new cashmere and silk collection is an enriching addition and sequel to the luxurious and elegant world of fabrics by MEISSEN COUTURE. Whether it is used for upholstery or as a furnishing fabric, the premium cashmere fabric Noble Touch adds exquisite highlights to every interiors.

Pure Combs
A tender contour line emphasizes the gently curved graphic form, giving the fabric a playful and yet powerful look-and-feel. This design was inspired by a border from the 18th century in the MEISSEN® manufacturer archives.
