The new interior by FINE ROOMS mirrors the castle’s magnificent baroque ensemble and at the same time creates a link to the form language of modern interior design.
The hotel rooms with their high ceilings and elegant fittings welcome the guests in three ranges of colours: red, gold and blue. A shimmering taupe enriches the delicately accentuated colour design, creating a modern interior filled with lightness. The lamps made of porcelain and cast iron with their colour-coordinated, internally gold-cladded lampshades, provide an atmospheric warm atmosphere of light.
The classical pieces of furniture are upholstered with exquisite fabrics by the MEISSEN COUTURE Home Collection. The room’s centrepiece is a French bed by TRECA Paris, perfected with a sculpturally curved headboard. The Axminster carpet was designed exclusively for the Grand Hotel Schloss Bensberg, perfecting the room’s structure. FINE ROOMS drew inspiration from the shape of a crest and arranged the stylised silhouette into a new geometrical pattern.
The walls of the rooms are decorated with limited serigraphy by the artist Markus Lüpertz. He is a renowned painter, graphic designer and sculptor and ranks among the most famous German artists. His enormous suggestive power is captivating.
