Passing through bare concrete one enters the imposing yet airy building with its impressive glass dome at a height of 25 meters.
With four museums of art, graphics, architecture, and design under one roof, the Pinakothek der Moderne is one of the largest collection houses in Europe.

The interdisciplinary program - its "fourfoldness" - is visionary and unique
The collection represents, with the most important protagonists, all directions of classical modernism and contemporary art from Expressionism, Cubism, New Objectivity, and Bauhaus to Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, and Minimal Art.

TIP:   On the terrace of ELLA enjoy a summer salad with a glass of Friulano as a culinary combination reflecting the Bavarian Italian aspirations.
ELLA restaurant is located in the Lehnbachhaus on Königsplatz.
